About Us

Phillip Laffin started out in business in 1980, as a sole trader, covering aspects of welding, maintenance and fabrication. He steadily took on staff and he was joined by his wife, Barbara, as a partner in the business in 1989, dealing with all the administration.

After the UK joined the EU, many new regulations were imposed within the food industry so over the last decade, he has specialised in stainless steel and built up a very reliable skilled workforce, making bespoke staircases, balustrades and balconies for clients, as well providing a fabrication and maintenance program for Cornish food processors, and the tourism and leisure industry.

In 2003 we became a limited company and in 2005 we appointed Richard Hughes as Works Manager, whilst Emma Viner continues as the Administration Manager. The business currently has 2 directors and 9 staff.
